Ahmedabad, the largest city in the Indian state of Gujarat, is the commercial and financial center of the state. The Sabarmati River flows through the city and divides it into the old city and the new city. The old city, known as Kharij, was founded in 1411 on the east bank of the Sabarmati by Ahmed Shah I, who named it after himself. The new city, or Asarva, was founded in 1572 on the west bank of the Sabarmati by Mughal Emperor Akbar. The Ahmedabad Gir Weekend Tour takes you on a journey to the world’s only remaining home of the Asiatic lion.

The Ahmedabad Gir Tour is a great way to spend a weekend. After reaching the railway station or airport, you will meet our representative there, who will escort you to Sasan Gir National Park. Sasan Gir is home to the last remaining Asiatic lions in the world. After reaching, you will check into the forest resort, and enjoy lunch & dinner, and a comfortable night-staythere.
The next day, the tour continues as you set out for a jeep safari tour to the Sasan Gir National Park. There will be 2 safaris, one in the morning and the second one late in the afternoon. Safari goers can engage in the fun spotting of the tigers. In the afternoon too, there is a safari into the jungle to see the lions in their natural habitat. Day 2 concludes with a return to the resort for a lovely dinner and a comfortable night's stay.
On 3rd day morning, you will be leaving for Ahmedabad and on your route to Ahmedabad, you will be visiting Gujarat’s most important historical site, which is the Uperkot Fort of Junagadh which dates back to the Chandra Gupt’s era. After the visit, our representative will drop you at the Ahmedabad airport or railway station for your journey back home. The tour concludes with your return back home with some great memories of the BIG CATS.
