Gujarat Textile Tour

Post breakfast we will start our orientation tour at the Gateway of Indiadrive pass the historical building The tour takes you through Colaba, Fort, Kala Ghoda, Ballard Estate, CST and Nariman Point wher most of the historical and governments building are. After the tour proceed to Dharavi for Slum tour.
Day Tour Dharavi lets you have an introspective of a different facet of Indian Cities, where, a large chunk of population lives in slums. One such huge slum in Mumbai with population of approximately half a million is Dharavi that has come into fame after Oscar wining movie “Slumdog Millionaire” based on a plot around the slum. On your Day tour Dharavi you will encounter the way people live in the slum and earn their livelihood and learn about social milieu of the place.

Morning after breakfast checkout form hotel and transfer to airport to board the flight to Ahmedabad.
Arrive Ahmedabad, meet and assistance on arraival by Shikhar Traveks representative and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Mornig after breakfast proceed for sightseeing begin with Heritage walkof the city. Visit Calico museum (Remain closed on Wednesday), Afternoon drive to Paphapur (26 kms) to see wooden block making for block printing . Later visit Kalamkari and Block Printing by the community called Chitaras here you can try your hand on Kalamkari and block printing. Later also visit Sheryas Museum.
Overnight in Ahmedabad.

After breakfast proceed to Dasada via Patan.
Visit Adalaj step well followed by excursion to Patan, to visit Patola weaving and Mushroo weaving center, on the way visit Rani Ki Vav. Drive to Sun Tempel at Modera. Proceed to Bajana Village near Dashada.
Overnight in Dasada

After an early breakfast proceed for the Bhuj. En route, stop at Dhamadka village and try block printing. In the afternoon arrival at Bhuj and check in at hotel . afternoon go for the permit to the collector’s office. In the evening visit Bhujodi village to see the Kutchi Rabari embroideryand also visit weaver family.

Morning after breakfast proced to visit Ali Mohammad for try tie and dye work. Afternoon visit NGO Shrujan and walk at Bhuj Bazzar.
Overnight in Bhuj.

Morning visit Dhaneti village for Ahir work. Then visit workshop to see single Ikkat work near Bhuj. In the afternoon visit Banni area and later visit Sumrasar village for NGO Kala Raksha.
Overnight in Bhuj.

After breakfast proceed to Hodka, en route visit village of Meghwal and Muthwa, and Nirona village. upon arrival check in at hotel
Overnight in Rann.

After breakfast proceed to Mandavi to see Mochis embroidery. after the visit drive back to Bhuj for over night stay. Upon arrival check in at hotel.
Rest of the day free at leisure.

Early morning pick up packed breakfast from hotel and transfer to airport to board the flight to Mumbai.
